AAB Group / Blog / Team Facilitation – Faddy or Fruitful?
BLOG12th Dec 2022
Much like the Little Black Dress, good manners or a great cup of tea, there are some things that will never go out of style.
At Think People, demand for our Team Facilitation Services has always been high; and in recent months we’ve found that our clients are recognising the value of these services more than ever. Read on to find out why facilitated team interventions will stand the test of time and outlast fickle leadership fads.
In recent times many phrases have been coined that would rarely have been uttered prior to 2020, like ‘COVID fatigue’, ‘social distancing’ or the much revered ‘you’re on mute’. As organisations continue to navigate the new status quo following the reopening of the working world, much has been written and discussed about employee re-engagement, retention, and the prevention of employee burnout.
We could share many examples of our clients’ efforts and successes in achieving reconnection, doubling down on resilience and wellbeing, and recognising staff contributions through such difficult times. And the work continues. So, what’s the next step as we inch our way towards our respective ‘new normals’?
At Think People we assert that it hinges on reimagining and refocussing.
Reimagining what success looks like, and will look like, on an organisational level; involving staff in creating ambition for the future and bringing diverse perspectives to the table to ensure fulfilment of potential at every level.
And refocussing on what is important now; where organisational priorities truly lie, where we are right now, even if that place isn’t even on the same map we were using three years ago.
Strong team facilitation, whether it be with senior leadership teams, functional teams, project teams or ‘newly-formed during COVID’ teams simply transcends trends. It is a fundamental and powerful activity, essential for strengthening organisational resilience.
Please do get in touch if you are interested in following up with a team facilitation query.
