Shiri applies her understanding and knowledge of finance to the role, which sees her helping clients achieve goals while solving complex challenges to make a positive difference.
By building strong relationships, Shiri makes processes simple for clients which she finds rewarding and achieves this through clear communication, consistency and being there for them every step of the way. With a proactive attitude, attention to detail and strong communication skills, Shiri provides clients with the confidence and clarity they deserve ahead of their future.
“No two weeks are exactly the same, which is one of the things I enjoy most about my role. A typical week involves supporting advisers and clients with a wide range of financial planning administration, from processing new business and provider requests to managing policy updates and client communications.
I also spend a lot of time liaising with providers, preparing documentation, gathering information, and ensuring client records are accurate and up to date. A key part of my role is helping to make the client journey as smooth and efficient as possible while maintaining high standards of service and compliance.”
“I was drawn to financial services because I enjoy helping people and being part of a process that can make a real difference to their financial wellbeing. Over time, I discovered that I particularly enjoyed the client support side of the industry, where I can combine organisation, problem-solving, and communication skills to help clients achieve their goals. Seeing the positive impact that good planning can have on someone’s future is what keeps me motivated.
My experience has given me a strong understanding of financial planning processes, provider systems, and the importance of delivering excellent client service. I am highly organised, detail-oriented, and proactive, which helps me manage complex cases efficiently. I also understand the importance of clear communication, ensuring clients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their journey.”
“When building client relationships, I focus on clear and consistent communication from the outset. Clients want to know what’s happening, what to expect next, and that they can rely on you. Keeping them informed helps build trust and confidence from day one.
One example where I built a strong client relationship involved supporting a client through the transfer and review of several existing policies. There were multiple providers involved, which created additional complexity. By keeping the client regularly updated, managing communications with the providers, and ensuring everything progressed smoothly, I was able to make the process much less stressful for them. The relationship worked because the client knew they had someone committed to keeping things on track and keeping them informed.
The most satisfying part of working with clients is knowing that I’ve helped make something easier for them. Financial planning can sometimes feel overwhelming, so it’s rewarding when clients feel reassured and supported because of the service we’ve provided.”
“Within my role, I help clients overcome challenges. A recent example of this involved gathering up-to-date information from multiple providers to give a client a clearer picture of their existing arrangements. By coordinating requests, tracking responses, and ensuring the information was presented clearly, I helped create a more efficient review process and saved the client considerable time and effort.
One of the most meaningful compliments I receive from clients is when they say they feel reassured because they know everything is being taken care of. Knowing that clients trust me to support them through important financial decisions is something I value greatly.”
“One of the biggest challenges in my specialist area is managing complex administrative processes across different providers while maintaining excellent client service. My approach is to stay organised, communicate proactively, and focus on finding solutions quickly. Attention to detail and strong follow-up are essential.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in my career is the importance of adaptability. Financial services is constantly evolving, with changing regulations, systems, and client expectations. Learning to embrace change and remain focused on delivering excellent outcomes has helped me grow professionally. It’s reinforced the value of being proactive, maintaining strong communication, and always looking for solutions rather than obstacles.”
“I believe the common misconception about my profession is that many people think client support is purely administrative. While administration is an important part of the role, it’s also about building relationships, solving problems, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and ensuring clients have a positive experience throughout their financial planning journey.”
“The top strengths I bring to AAB Wealth is my strong attention to detail, excellent organisation and prioritisation, being able to build positive client relationships, communication clearly and professionally, the ability to problem-solve and adapt, and delivering a consistently high level of client service.
The most rewarding aspect of working at AAB is the collaborative culture. Everyone is focused on achieving the best outcomes for clients, and there’s always support available when you need it. Being part of a team that shares knowledge and works together so effectively is incredibly rewarding.”
“I’m always keen to develop my knowledge of financial planning and regulatory developments, particularly around compliance, client outcomes and service standards.
To help develop my work, I’m also interested in how technology and digital solutions can improve efficiency, streamline processes, and enhance the client experience, allowing us to deliver an even better service.”
