Brady is a Corporate Solicitor at AAB, specialising in corporate M&A transactions and commercial legal support. Working across a diverse range of industries, Brady advises clients on acquisitions, investments, and complex transactional matters, combining strong technical expertise with a pragmatic and client-focused approach. Known for his loyalty, resilience, and commitment to achieving the best possible outcome for clients, Brady works closely with businesses throughout every stage of a transaction while also supporting and mentoring junior members of the legal team.
“No two clients or transactions are ever the same, and every industry brings its own commercial considerations and legal challenges.
My interest in law started from a young age because I naturally enjoyed logic, analysis, and rhetoric. Becoming a lawyer felt like a natural progression for me, particularly because corporate law provides the opportunity to solve problems strategically while working closely with businesses during important stages of growth and development.
A large part of my role involves negotiating and drafting legal documentation according to a client’s objectives; while also ensuring they fully understand the implications of the agreements they are entering. I regularly negotiate key transactional terms with opposing legal counsel to ensure my clients achieve the strongest possible outcome.”
“The most rewarding part of my role is helping clients solve complex legal problems and supporting them through high-pressure situations. Corporate transactions are often time-sensitive and commercially significant, so being able to guide clients through those challenges and help them achieve a successful outcome is incredibly satisfying.
One recent example involved assisting a client who urgently required an investment round to complete within one week to prevent the business from becoming insolvent. Despite the intense timeframe, I successfully completed the transaction while also negotiating the best possible position for my client with their investors. Being able to support businesses through critical moments like that is one of the aspects of the role I value most.
I also enjoy working alongside talented colleagues across the wider organisation. Having access to knowledgeable specialists from different disciplines means we can provide clients with well-rounded support across all aspects of a transaction, which adds huge value to the service we deliver.”
“Building strong client relationships is incredibly important to me. One of the first things I always try to understand is the story behind the business, why the client chose that particular business path, what they have learned throughout the journey, and what they ultimately want to achieve. Understanding those motivations allows me to provide more tailored and commercially relevant advice.
I believe clients value responsiveness, reliability, and knowing that their solicitor is fully invested in achieving the best outcome for them. One transaction that stands out involved working late nights and weekends to ensure a deal completed within the required deadline despite significant resourcing challenges. The client later told me that my availability, commitment, and willingness to always take their call made a huge difference during what was a particularly stressful transaction.”
“One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned throughout my career came much earlier in my education. During my first university degree in Finance, I almost dropped out due to poor grades. I was given one final opportunity to improve my performance, and I completely changed my approach to studying, preparation, and time management. I studied consistently every day, prepared for assignments weeks in advance, and worked ahead wherever possible.
That experience taught me resilience, discipline, and consistency, lessons I carried into law school, where I graduated top of my class. Those same principles continue to shape the way I approach my work today, particularly when dealing with demanding transactions and high-pressure deadlines.”
“One of the biggest challenges within corporate law is managing the time pressures that often come with transactions. Many deals are driven by strict deadlines for tax, commercial, or personal reasons, which can result in multiple complex matters needing to complete simultaneously. Strong organisation, discipline, and impeccable time management are therefore essential.
The legal profession is also evolving rapidly, particularly with the emergence of AI and legal technology. I’m particularly interested in exploring how developing AI tools can be incorporated into legal work to improve efficiency and help streamline processes without compromising quality.
And if there’s one misconception I’d love to challenge about the profession, it’s the idea that solicitors simply spend their days drafting boring documents. In reality, we get to work on a huge variety of exciting and commercially significant deals, often helping businesses navigate some of the most important moments in their journey.”
