“ENSURING GLOBAL MOBILITY IS AT THE TABLE, FOR THE RIGHT REASONS.”

Based in our London office, Alex Nash is a Senior Manager in the global mobility and employment tax team, who works closely with clients across a wide range of industries, helping them navigate the fast-moving and increasingly complex world of global mobility and employment tax.

Alex collaborates with businesses of all sizes, as well as international teams, to solve cross-border challenges and create practical, tailored solutions that align with each client’s goals, culture, and budget. From supporting large corporates with global workforce compliance to advising private clients on mobility-related matters, Alex focuses on delivering solutions that are commercially aware, people-focused, and sustainable.

BUILDING TRUST FROM DAY ONE

“For me, strong client relationships are built on trust from the very beginning. Whether that’s through responsiveness, quality of work, or simply being there when clients need support most, both sides are equally important. Clients rely on me to listen to their challenges, explore practical solutions, and align those solutions to both their business goals and employee needs. There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, and understanding that is what helps relationships grow into genuine partnerships.”

BEING AGILE WHEN IT MATTERS MOST

“One of the strongest client relationships I’ve built came from being agile and available during a particularly demanding period for the business. Client priorities and workflows can fluctuate significantly throughout the year, so it’s important to recognise when immediate support is needed most. At the same time, I believe the quieter periods are just as valuable for strengthening relationships, checking in, and understanding what clients are really trying to achieve long term. That balance of responsiveness and proactive partnership is what makes relationships successful.”

SOLVING COMPLEX GLOBAL CHALLENGES

“What I enjoy most about working with clients is collaborating to solve complex problems together. Global mobility moves quickly, and businesses are often dealing with challenges across multiple countries, time zones, and teams. The best outcomes come from bringing different perspectives together and working collaboratively towards a practical solution. Roundtable discussions and shared experiences are especially valuable because there’s always something new to learn from others facing similar situations.”

HELPING CLIENTS THINK PROACTIVELY

“A recent challenge I helped a client navigate involved ensuring mobility considerations were brought into business decisions at the earliest possible stage. Too often, businesses don’t involve mobility teams until risks have already increased or decisions have already been made. By helping wider teams understand why mobility should sit at the forefront of planning, rather than being treated as an afterthought, we were able to reduce risk, improve compliance, and create a much smoother experience for both the business and its employees.”

A TRUE EXTENSION OF THE CLIENT TEAM

“The greatest compliment I’ve received from a client was being described as their partner and friend, not just a provider. That relationship worked because there was mutual trust and openness on both sides. They felt comfortable confiding in me about the challenges they were facing and what they needed to succeed in their role, and in turn I could support them more effectively as an extension of their team. That level of partnership is something I really value.”

KEEPING PACE WITH CHANGE

“One of the greatest challenges within global mobility and employment tax is keeping pace with an evolving tax landscape across different jurisdictions and time zones. Technology will continue to play a huge role in shaping the future of our profession, particularly when it comes to accessibility and efficiency. While automation may streamline routine compliance work, it will never replace the importance of relationships, communication, and practical advice. The human side of the role is what truly adds value.”

LEADING PEOPLE AND DRIVING PROGRESS

“I’m passionate about bringing people on the journey with me, whether that’s clients or colleagues. I enjoy mentoring teams, encouraging collaboration, and helping people navigate complex challenges with confidence. Looking ahead, I’m particularly excited about how technology can be optimised to give us more time to focus on what matters most – relationships, development, and delivering meaningful outcomes for clients.”
