How I help

Delivering audit & assurance services that add value along with providing business advisory support to a range of clients.

“I’M ALWAYS PUSHING THE TEAM TO BE THEIR BEST SELVES.”

Teresa Campbell is an Audit Partner. Based primarily in our Belfast office she leads the Audit team on the island of Ireland. Teresa joined AAB post qualification and has been an important part of our team for over 21 years.

She views audits as not only an opportunity to evaluate controls, but also a chance to provide valuable insights and recommendations for improvement. Teresa believes that our people are the heart and soul of all that we strive to achieve, with every team member bringing their unique skills and perspectives to the team.

The importance of strong client relationships

“Building strong relationships with my clients is always a top priority. My goal is to ensure they get the best out of an audit and throughout the audit process and beyond I strive to provide them with effective advice. I see audits as a chance to evaluate controls but also an opportunity for our team to give valuable insights, recommendations for improvement and business advisory support that will help clients to achieve both their corporate and future personal ambitions”.

It’s all about people.

“Fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment is the key to success for me. By creating this environment, we are able to deliver so much more for our people and in turn our clients. By investing in training initiatives and personal career development plans, we are able to enhance our team’s knowledge and skills. That’s how we’re able to deliver high quality audits for our clients every time – our people.

So how do we do that? We place a really high importance on making every member of the team feel valued. You don’t need to be a senior member of the team to play a part – we couldn’t deliver the work we do and meet our clients’ expectations without our people.”

Flexing to clients’ needs

“I prefer a balanced approach to working with clients and colleagues. and a lot of the work we carry out depends on what our clients prefer. The team and I love being able to really get to know our clients in their place of work. This helps us to get to the know the people in their business, understand what they do and how the business operates. By the same token we can also perform audits remotely. Being able to offer clients a choice is something they really value.

All of our team are actively encouraged to think about how we structure our working day. We want our people to enjoy a healthy work/life balance, developing their careers and contributing to society in a meaningful way. We actively encourage flexible working and have measures in place to ensure that this does not disrupt our client services. Overall, it is a two-way process with everyone committed to enhancing, rather than diluting, our client ultimate experience.

Always time for fun

Our aim is to be the employer of choice because our people genuinely enjoy working here. We promote an inclusive work culture that puts our team first and where their goals and career can be fully supported. It’s such a great  feeling seeing people develop and grow confidence in their roles. As a partner it is very rewarding to have even a small part in others career progression and making those goals achievable for our team. That’s something I’ll never stop doing pushing the team to be their best self.

People always say we work hard and play harder, and I think that’s not only true but it’s also so important. We give our all to our clients, going above and beyond to deliver quality audits, ensure deadlines are met and to exceed their expectations. Being able to relax and have fun with the people you work with comes part and parcel with that.
