Based in our Leeds Office, Rosemary Addo is an audit assistant manager who works with a wide range of clients. With a strong technical foundation and a natural ability to build trust, Rosemary is passionate about helping clients navigate challenges, strengthen internal processes and achieve their goals. She’s always had a natural pull toward numbers, and her passion for the field was sparked at a young age when her uncle introduced her to a day in his life; she got instantly hooked. Known for her collaborative approach and dedication to delivering value, Rosemary combines expertise with genuine care for the people she works with.
“I believe strong relationships start with a genuine curiosity. I always take the time to understand a client’s business, how it works, where the challenges lie and what matters most to the people behind it. That initial investment sets the tone for everything that follows.”
“For me, success isn’t just about technical knowledge, it’s about building trust, staying calm under pressure, and proving through actions that clients can rely on me when it matters most.
One of my proudest moments was when a client faced a critical, time-sensitive issue while my manager was away. I worked closely with them and my team to keep everything on track, ensuring deadlines were met and that they felt fully supported throughout. Clear communication and practical solutions were key, but just as important was being consistent, transparent, and approachable.
At the end of the project, the client told me, “I had every faith that Rosemary would get us there in your absence.” That feedback meant a great deal, because it summed up what I believe great client service is all about – trust that is earned not by words, but by action.”
“Collaboration is at the heart of everything I do. I’m a strong believer that teamwork produces the best results. Whether it’s supporting colleagues, mentoring analysts or working alongside clients to tackle complex issues. While my technical expertise ensures I can deliver successful outcomes for clients, it’s my ability to listen, adapt, and problem-solve that truly makes the difference.”
“Moving from Ghana to the UK was a defining moment in my career. It wasn’t just about adjusting to a new country, but about understanding new cultural expectations in the workplace and balancing that with professional responsibilities. It wasn’t easy, but I embraced the challenge by asking questions, seeking feedback and being proactive.
This experience taught me the value of adaptability and self-awareness. It also showed me the power of strong networks in mentors, colleagues and friends who offered support along the way. Today, I use those lessons to connect more deeply with clients and to lead with empathy and resilience.”
“The world of audit doesn’t stand still, especially for Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) clients, where regulatory change is constant. To deliver the best value, I always stay informed and embrace new tools such as data analytics or AI. These technologies open the door to faster, deeper analysis and can highlight risks and opportunities that might otherwise go unseen. For clients, that means better decisions and stronger outcomes.”
“What I value most about AAB is the culture of support and ambition. It’s a place where people are encouraged to grow, innovate and bring their ideas forward. For clients, that means access to a team that’s dynamic and collaborative.
The most rewarding aspect for me is being a part of something bigger – working with colleagues who are just as passionate about helping clients succeed. It’s motivating, inspiring and makes every day different.”
“A common misconception about audit is that we’re purely financial watchdogs. In reality, my approach is the complete opposite. By going beyond compliance, I help businesses strengthen their processes, manage risks effectively, and uncover opportunities they might not have considered. It’s about collaboration, not confrontation, and ultimately about adding value, not just assurance.”
“Every day brings new opportunities to learn and make a difference. I will always be committed to going the extra mile, not just for my clients but for my colleagues and the wider community. The journey so far has been exciting, and I’m looking forward to what’s next. Above all, I want clients to feel confident that when they work with me, they’re getting more than an audit – they’re gaining a partner who cares about their success.”
