Meet the Business Advisory team
Owner-managed Businesses. SMEs.
Business Advisory. Management Accounts. Year End Accounts Compliance. Outsourcing. Cloud Accounting. Company Formations.

Rohan Savage is a Business Advisory Manager based in Aberdeen. Rohan’s focus is on a combination of year end accounts and management accounts preparation for a variety of companies and industry sectors. This extends to overseeing the outsourcing and VAT return preparation for clients and he is also involved in the cloud accounting team, assisting with the implementation and support for cloud accounting software.
In his role, Rohan works with teams across the business including corporate tax, VAT, private client, payroll, corporate benefits and audit.
“Whatever the query may be, I always aim to respond to our clients as quickly as possible – this goes for new clients and those who are longstanding clients of our business. They should always know that there is someone here to support them whenever they are in need of assistance. This goes above and beyond our regular reporting through monthly or quarterly management accounts. We want to work with clients to review the financial health of their business and help them make more informed decisions. We are constantly looking for ways to improve internal processes and the way things are done. All of this contributes to friendly, open and honest conversations with clients and can ultimately lead to a fantastic working relationship.”
“Working with clients, getting to know them as a person and going beyond the numbers are some of the best parts of the job. It is so satisfying to see their businesses flourish whether that be through increased revenue, staff numbers or expanding geographically and knowing you had, in some way, a small part to play in the success of the business.
I really enjoy having the opportunity to advise clients on their own systems and introduce the use of clouding accounting to bring efficiencies and better suit their needs across different areas of their business. It is a drastic change from the days of desktop accounting as clients now have access to up to date and readily available information at click of a button, which ultimately helps them run better, more informed businesses.”
“Another area of my role I really enjoy is working with colleagues, passing on and overseeing jobs I used to complete to junior members of the team, sharing my knowledge and experience with them as other colleagues did, and continue to do so for me. Given I joined the firm as an apprentice, I have first-hand experience of the training and challenges faced to be able to mentor the junior team members. There are a lot of opportunities at AAB for personal development and growth.”
“Every client is different, no two are the same or require the same level of services from us. That’s why it’s so important to fully understand their business, and their requirements to be able to successfully service their needs.
The growth of AAB has brought in a much wider pool of expertise which will allow us to better serve our current and prospective clients through streamlining processes, creating operational efficiencies across the teams, sharing knowledge and talent pools which will enable us to continue to deliver awesome client service.
The variety on offer keeps me on my toes and the job presents new challenges every day.”
