“BUILDING FINANCIAL SUCCESS THROUGH TRUSTED RELATIONSHIPS.”

Based in our Dublin office, Nisha Teeling is an Assistant Manager in our Business Advisory team, supporting a wide range of industries. Having always enjoyed business and accounting at school, Nisha’s career began somewhat by chance when an apprenticeship opportunity with AAB arose after completing her Leaving Certificate. Since then, she has built her career through her experience in tax and business advisory and professional qualifications with Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Nisha combines her technical knowledge with a practical, client-first approach. She enjoys getting to know each client’s business inside and out, ensuring advice is always tailored, forward-looking, and focused on building financial success through trusted relationships.

BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS THAT LAST

“For me, the foundation of any strong relationship is understanding. I make it a priority to learn how a client’s business operates so I can provide the best possible service. In today’s changing world, where factors like rising costs and inflation can have a major impact, I take the time to understand not just the client but also how external conditions affect them. Building that trust through knowledge is essential. When clients see that you truly understand their goals and challenges, they feel confident in the advice you provide.”

FROM CAUTION TO CONFIDENCE

“Working with clients across different sectors has given me invaluable experience and the chance to build lasting relationships. For example, I once had a client in the construction industry who had previously received poor advice elsewhere. They were understandably cautious at first, but I worked closely with them weekly to check progress. Over time, we built a strong working relationship that has led to preparing bi-monthly management accounts, managing their debtor processes, and advising on new projects. Seeing their business grow and being part of that journey has been incredibly rewarding.”

HARD WORK PAYS OFF

“The biggest challenge in my career so far has been completing the ACA exams. It’s a long and difficult journey, particularly balancing study with work, but it taught me resilience and discipline. More importantly, it reminded me that hard work pays off – something I carry into my client work every day. When clients face setbacks, I understand the persistence it takes to get through them, and I try to reflect that same determination in how I support them.”

STRENGTHS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE

“My top strengths that I bring to AAB are my strong communication, relationship management, and problem-solving mindset. Clients often describe me as a “fountain of knowledge”, and I take pride in being approachable and clear. When clients come to me with a question, no matter how small, I know that giving them an answer can make a big difference. I want them to feel supported and reassured, so they can focus on running and growing their business.”

MORE THAN NUMBERS

“One misconception I’d love to change is that accountants are boring. I’m definitely not! I’m a sociable person who enjoys building meaningful relationships with both clients and colleagues. Within our Dublin Business Advisory Group team, we’ve built a close-knit, supportive culture where we work hard but also laugh together. That positivity and collaboration come through in the way we work with clients, and it makes us more efficient and approachable.”

A TEAM THAT DELIVERS

“One of the best things about being at AAB is the variety of opportunities. Over the past six years, I’ve gained experience in personal tax, corporate tax, business advisory, and digital. This breadth of knowledge allows me to see the bigger picture when advising clients, and I know I can draw on the expertise of colleagues across the wider organisation. The flexibility and support within our team also mean we can respond quickly and effectively to our clients.”

ALWAYS LOOKING AHEAD

“I’m particularly excited to help my clients move digitally. Many are still using manual records, and I am working with them to transition to paperless systems like Xero. This shift saves time, increases efficiency, and allows clients to focus more on growing their business while giving us the tools to provide more timely advice. It also has an important environmental benefit, which matters to me personally.”

A POSITIVE OUTLOOK

“What motivates me the most is seeing clients succeed. Watching a business grow and knowing I’ve played a part in that is incredibly rewarding. It’s more than just about accounts or tax returns, it’s about helping people achieve their goals and giving them the confidence to take the next step forward.”
